About the work
A sponsoring association was formed for documenta 3 in 1964 to support the documenta budget. This association published artist’s editions that could be purchased at the exhibition at affordable prices. Editions of artworks were also produced for the subsequent documenta 4 exhibition in 1968 that included the print by Italian artist Fontana shown here.
