The works demonstrate May Voigt’s great flair for lighting moods and her eye for details and special features of everyday life. The photographer’s personal feelings, which flow into her pictures, often play a major role. They are to be understood as coded metaphors. They unite fears, loneliness, melancholy and at the same time hope and the search for meaning.
