About the work
Dagobert Peche’s productivity increased when he joined the Wiener Werkstätte. He is said to have worked day and night on his designs. It was above all the diversity of materials and types involved in the WW’s highly varied products that acted as a challenge for him. Although he initially completed architecture studies, Peche’s understanding began with the plane – he was more concerned with the façade than with spatial volume. Peche designed the wallpaper with the scattered green flowers for a lady’s salon.
