Tapetenfabrik »Europa« Ottokar Anderlik, HainichenHersteller:in
About the work
Ottokar Anderlik founded the Europa wallpaper factory in Papperdorf in the river valley of the Große Striegis in 1897 and distributed his products in Hainichen and Chemnitz as well as through wholesale warehouses in Maastricht and Brussels. In order to be linked to the Saxon Railway, and thus be able to expand is business, he transferred his modern, efficient factory to Hainichen and ran it until it was decommissioned in 1936. The wallpapers on show here are part of a collection and could be combined with one another in the most varied of way.
